SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND SCHOOL SAFETY

Social emotional learning and school safety is a focal point to any school environment. With my unique background in social work and law enforcement, I possess a strong set of skills that is vastly unique to the field of education. My one of a kind skillset allows me to develop deep relationships with others, facilitate the social emotional needs of students in a more advanced way, and produce community wide opportunities for unity and social emotional growth. Currently, my school social worker and I have co-developed a school wide therapy dog program to build on the social emotional needs within the building. With my diverse set of skills, I am able to create new opportunities to empower students and allow them to not only grow as individuals but members of the community.
